Piney Point Campground offers 48 sites on Wright Patman Lake. The paved sites offer 30-amp electric hookups and water. Located underneath the shade of Texas pines, the campground has accommodations for those visiting the area for hunting, fishing, boating, wildlife watching or just taking in the sights and sounds of Texarkana.
Campground amenities include fire rings, dump station, restrooms and shower facilities. Pets are welcome and tent camping is permitted on the grounds. Partial handicap access is available. The usual season runs from March 1 through November 30 with nightly rates ranging from $22 to $24.
Each campsite is equipped with a grill, picnic table, utility table and trash can. The entrance is equipped with an electric gate system that requires a code for after-hours entrance. Campers are provided a code by the host at check-in.

A 1.3.-mile trail leads from Piney Point to Rocky Point Campground. Because of the prime location of Piney Point, there are opportunities for hiking, biking and bird watching. The parks are filled with trails and educational programs led by rangers.
A boat launch is available at Piney Point. It is also conveniently located near other accessible ramps and marinas. It is in a prime area for picnicking and grilling out. Children can enjoy the playground that is onsite. There is a group picnic shelter that can accommodate as many as 75 people.
