Herron Creek Park
Located on the shoreline of Wright Patman Lake, Herron Creek Park is located on the north shore on the lake adjacent to the Sulphur River channel. There is a boat ramp available, but a fee is required. The ramp is capable of handling boats of all sizes.
Herron Creek Park is open year round. It is conveniently located outside Maud. Take Texas Highway 8 south from Maud, going 2.5 miles then turning left before crossing the bridge. The park is on the east side of the bridge. It is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Call (903) 838-8781 for information.
Overcup Landing
Located up the lake near the Sulphur River channel, Overcup Landing has a boat ramp that is available for no charge. Open year round, the ramp can handle boats of all sizes. Take Texas Highway 8 north out of Douglassville, going about three miles before turning left. The ramp is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Call (903) 838-8781 for more information.
Big Creek Marina
Big Creek Marina has a boat ramp, capable of accommodating boats of all sizes, that is open year round. There is a fee required for use. The ramp is located on the north shore on the south side of Big Creek. Take FM 991 south from Redwater, crossing the bridge to take the first left the following the road until it reaches the end.
