Rocky Point Park and Campground

Picnic Tent Hike Swim RV

Probably the best park and campground on the shorelines of Wright Patman Lake is Rocky Point Park. Offering day use, the park also has a wonderful campground. Located within the piney woods of northeast Texas, the park offers year-round activities for visitors, including hunting, wildlife viewing and fishing. The park has an accessible boat ramp that makes it easy for day use guests and campers to take their boat in and out of the lake.

The 124 campsites each have a hard surface parking pad with water and electric hookups. Each site has a picnic table, grill, utility table and trash can. There are 15 sites with sewer service and eight sites that have 50-amp service. There is a group shelter onsite that has standard electric connections available. With the capacity of 60 people, the group shelter can be reserved by day users for gatherings.

Amenities of the park include:

  • RV camping
  • Tent camping
  • Volleyball court
  • Ampitheater
  • Swim beach
  • Hiking trails
  • Restrooms

Open year round, the campground rates range from $24 to $28 per night with standard electric. The group shelter is $55 per day. Weekly rates may be available for some campsites. Registered campers have access to hiking trails, including a 1.3-mile trail that connects to Piney Point Campground. There is a swimming beach, playground, volleyball court and an amphitheater offering educational programs.
